What the hell is "Glamping"?

OK, "glamping" is a word foolish enough - but a pretty cool concept.

"Glamping" is a word, "Glamour" and "camping" together. Silly? Perhaps - but because in a sleeping bag lying on the cold, hard ground, if you enjoy nature in comfort?

Imagine the night in the woods, hear the crickets and water falling over rocks in a stream near.

Now imagine that this occurs while in a comfortable king-size bed with luxurious linens, carpets, and a ceiling fan.

It 'really the best of both worlds!

The level of luxury is very different. Some camping sites are really just a luxury, while others have gourmet meals and massage tents. Prices range from less than $ 100 a night for several thousand dollars a week.

The concept of glamping are launched in the United States and western Canada, and most campsites have settled there. But there are some in other parts of the world, too.

Upscale tour operator Abercrombie and Kent African Safari has more than one (the last "glamping"!) - It 'just for women!

In the U.S., Paws Up in Montana is one of the best. It has luxury tents and beds (for far less than in Australia!), With electricity and private bath in a bathroom nearby. Rates include three gourmet meals per day and includes activities such as horseback riding, fly fishing, andOn-site spa.

Falling Waters Adventure Resort in the Smoky Mountains is the cheapest option, inspired by beautiful accommodation Mongolian yurts! These round tents have ceiling fans, queen-size bed and a bridge. The resort offers many recreational opportunities available, but are not included in the room.

Clayoquot Wilderness Resort in British Columbia is another very luxurious, environmentally sensitive site, theoffers bear watching among other activities! The also have destination wedding packages, with fine china and silver, food and music.
